Shamanic sound art

The phenomena of the physical world collectively; esp. plants, animals, and other features and products of the earth itself, as opposed to humans and human creations.
— Oxford English Dictionary

It’s disenchanting that the definition of ‘nature’ excludes the human. It calls for rediscovering an enchanted relationship with the world were we no longer feel separate but intensely part of it. A call for the ‘shamanic’ that blurs the boundaries between human, animal and plant kingdoms.

This is why I’m inspired by artworks that translate us back into nature, such as the drawing and paintings of these visual artists:

Scarlett Butters

Archan Nair

Jake Ewen

As well as the aesthetics of Kimatica Studio (where I lead its research on transcendence):

What could be the sound equivalents for blurring these boundaries? Perhaps an opportunity for the neural aesthetic
